Heavy Duty Job Site Power in Compact Body
Part of the Bosch Compact series, the HDB180-02 is similar in size and weight to some competitive 12-volt class tools, but it adds more power and extended runtime thanks to the 18-volt lithium-ion battery. You'll be able to drive up to 160 3-inch screws per charge.
Providing 360 inch-pounds of max torque, the HDB180-02 can generate up to 21,000 beats per minute (BPM) and has two speed settings: high torque (0-500 RPM) for larger spade bits or high speed (0-1,450 RPM) for smaller diameter bits. Additionally, the hammer drill mode is great for drilling into brick or mortar without penalizing you with a significantly sized tool.
Balanced Design and Easy Bit Changes
The HDB180-02's Durashield housing is constructed with ABS/nylon composite, which makes the housing flexible and impenetrable. Unlike competitive tools, which use a conventional plastic housing, Durashield will not crack and can easily withstand 10-foot drops.
The 3/8-inch keyless chuck with Bosch Auto-Lock offers you the versatility to accomplish 90 percent of the most common drilling and driving applications and makes bit changes simple and quick with one hand. You'll get outstanding control with a 15+1 clutch and sensitive variable speed trigger to enable you to dial in your preferences to match the specific task at hand.
The ergonomically designed handle and soft-grip wrapped housing offer a comfortable fit for extended working time. And for even greater convenience, LEDs provide illumination when you are working in dark or enclosed areas.
Flexible Power System
Like all tools in Bosch's 18-volt line, this drill/driver can be used with either a 1.3 Ah Slim Pack battery (model BAT609) or a 2.6-Ah Fat Pack battery (model BAT618). If you're looking for a lighter-weight option, the Slim Pack is the perfect choice. If longer runtime is what you need, the Fat Pack will do the job.

Featuring the shortest head length and lowest weight of any 18V Lithium-Ion Hammer Drill/Driver, the Bosch HDB180-02 is a professional option for all drill/driving applications into wood, metal and masonry materials. The HDB180-02 packs 360 in. lbs of max torque, enough to drive the most common fasteners and drill bits. An 8 inch overall head length allows for use in tight spaces and at only 3.2 lbs, this hammer drill is the most compact and lightweight design available creating the least amount of user fatigue. Strong run time keeps user on the job with the ability to drives 160 3 inch screws per charge. The 2-speed gear box (0-500/1,450RPM) allows for the best performance in all applications - high speed for small diameter bits and high torque for larger spade bits. Like all Bosch Lithium-Ion tools, the HDB180-02 features a Flexible Powers Source (FPS™) which means it will work with both Bosch SlimPacks or FatPacks. Electronic Cell Protection (ECP) monitors battery temp and current flow to ensure maximum life while Electronic Motor Protection (EMP) protects the motor in stall situations.
